The Social Swing States of 2016

Following the social conversation in several of the swing states through the three Presidential debates, we noticed a very unsettling trend. Sure, there was plenty of positive and negative sentiment surrounding both candidates, but it’s the numbers surrounding those in the neutral category that need to be paid close attention to.

In the swing states of New Hampshire, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, and Iowa, the neutral social conversation decreased after the debates. After the October 19th debate, Clinton’s neutral conversation made a little rebound and Drumpf’s positive sentiment actually increased.

Now, this could mean that those that were on the fence on both sides have either now picked a side, or that now the debates are concluded the voters in these swing states are even more emotionally excited or fed up. Either way, we’ll let America decide, November 8th.
